    Alumni in the News and On the Move 

    C. Suzanne Hudson-Smith  (Women In Leadership Class 45) is the Vice President of Development at the public broadcasting station, WNIN Tri-State Public Media in Evansville Indiana. She has been selected as one of 10 national participants in the PBS Leadership Development Program which takes her to Northwestern University for training with the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Television Executive seminar.
     

    Maj. Antoinette Filla (Women In Leadership Class 30) is on the list of 8 individuals being considered for Chief of the St. Louis Police Department. The Police Board is planning to have a new Chief in place by late October.


    Melanie Adams
    (Women In Leadership Class 33), Zundra Bryant (Women In Leadership Class 42), and Gail Holmes Taylor (Women In Leadership Class 39) were recognized for being some of Most Influential Minority Business Leaders in St. Louis.  On September 12 The St. Louis Business Journal hosted an awards luncheon recognizing ethnic minorities who are making their mark on the St. Louis Business Community.


    Megan Green
    (Fellows Program in Public Affairs 2005 - 2006) along with seven other graduates of Coro Programs founded the Active Minds Institute. The Active Minds Institute is committed to bringing experiential learning methodology into the educational system in St. Louis City.  The Active Minds Institute is working to create its first experiential learning Charter School in St. Louis in the Fall of 2010.  Along with Megan the other founding members include: Ebony Cain (Fellows Program 2005-2006), Phyllis Katz (Women In Leadership Class 9), Jay Swoboda (Fellows Program 2004-2005), Brenda Guynes-Glick (Fellows Program 2007-2008), Didier Sylain (Fellows Program 2005-2006), Jen Prudencio (Fellows Program  2005-2006), Marisa Suescun (Fellows Program 2005-2006).
