Coro E-Connections
Note from the CEO:
A Season of Gratitude
The holiday season is upon us - Thanksgiving, then Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, and finally the start of a new year. It's a favorite time for me as I remember with gratitude those people and events that have been significant in my life this year.
At Coro, as for many nonprofits, 2009 has been a year filled with challenges and opportunities. As I look back on the year, there are many things for which I am grateful:
A staff that, though small in number, is mighty in spirit and committed to designing and delivering the highest-quality leadership training and programs.
A board of directors that has grown in breadth and depth and provides the time, energy, and leadership to ensure Coro will meet the current and future needs of our region.
Volunteers with a commitment to civic engagement who spend hours raising awareness of Coro, ensuring the quality and diversity of our participants, and assisting with events and program expansion efforts.
Supporters who invest in the future leadership of our region by hosting Fellows, funding Women In Leadership participants, being interviewed, and sponsoring our training programs and Connected Women networking series.
Alums of the various programs who continue to impact our region by using the skills they learned in their Coro programs.
As you take time to celebrate with family and friends, may you experience many moments of gratitude.
- Dawn Stringfield, President & CEO

Christine Taylor-Broughton Inspired Many at Final Connected Women Event of 2009
On November 18, 2009, Christine Taylor-Broughton spoke about her vision for leadership in the region to participants who attended the Coro's Connected Women event held at the Knight Center at Washington University. The presentation covered the importance of diversity, life-balance, mentoring, adaptability, and being true to core values while responding to customer needs. The audience of almost 100 participants appreciated Christine's perspective as one of the next generation of leaders in our region. For a copy of the presentation, click here.
We are grateful to our 2009 Connected Women sponsors: The Boeing Company, St. Louis Business Journal, St. Louis Rams, and Washington University in St. Louis Olin School of Business and Executive MBA Program.
